Company Profile

Hand Rehabilitation Associates (HRA) was founded by Elaine LaCroix, MHSM, OTR/L, CHT in 1984 as a hand therapy practice dedicated to providing state-of-the-art care to clients who have experienced a wide variety of hand and upper body disorders.  The clinical focus has been to provide appropriate evaluations and therapy modalities to facilitate safe, timely return to gainful employment.  As the importance of ergonomics emerged, requests for worksite assessments and presentations on ergonomic issues increased.  Ms. LaCroix has been treating for clients with work related problems at their places of work as well as offering educational prevention programs since 1996.

When providing appropriate care at worksites or in clients’ homes, Ms. LaCroix utilizes the latest in anatomic and ergonomic principles.  Ergonomic issues and their solutions have been demonstrated to small and large groups ranging from high tech companies to health care providers as well as in academia and manufacturing settings.  A team approach involving clients, insurers and employers to limit disability and to manage workers’ compensation costs has been promoted.

What makes Elaine LaCroix an expert ... is her years of experience in the workers’ compensation field and her personalized interventions with effective, successful solutions.  Comprehensive assessments and practical recommendations have become the hallmark of HRA.
